Infineon Technologies Introduces OptiMOS ™ Linear Field-Effect Transistor Family

Infineon Technologies Introduces OptiMOS ™ Linear Field-Effect Transistor Family. This new product family combines the low on-resistance (RDS (on)) of the trench-type power FET with a large safe working area for planar MOSFETs. This solves the balance between RDS (on) and linear mode functions. The OptiMOS linear field-effect transistor operates in the saturation region of the enhanced mode MOSFET. OptiMOS linear field-effect transistors are ideal for hot-swappable, electronic fuses and protection applications commonly found in telecommunications and battery management systems (BMS).

Durable linear mode operation and higher pulse current both contribute to lower conduction losses, faster start-up and shorter downtime. By limiting the high inrush current, the OptiMOS linear field-effect transistor prevents damage to the load in the event of a short circuit. You can buy these electronic components from electronics-chip.com.

OptiMOS linear field-effect transistors are available now, with three voltage levels: 100 V, 150 V and 200 V. They can be packaged in D2PAK or D2PAK 7pin. These industry standard packages are compatible with simple replacement components.
